Election Commissioner J M Lyngdoh will visit Mizoram on Thursday, November 5, to study the preparations for the assembly polls.
Lyngdoh's two-day programme in the state includes a meeting with the chief secretary, the inspector general of police, and the chief electoral officer at the Raj Bhawan in Aizawl, official sources said.
Besides, the election commissioner is expected to visit the Assam Rifles playground and polling station at Chaltlang.
Asked if the commissioner would have a meeting with the chief minister, the sources said Lyngdoh's programme would be confined to meetings with officials on election duty.
