Heat wave in parts of Rajasthan, Saurashtra

Rain or snow is likely to occur at one or two places in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places in West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Orissa, the plains of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Rajasthan and Saurashtra. The day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Gujarat, coastal Karnataka and in the remaining parts of Rajasthan and some parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Kutch, Konkan and Goa. There were above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana, central Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Kerala.

They were markedly below normal in the Gangetic West Bengal and appreciably below normal in Sikkim, Bihar and in the remaining parts of Haryana and in some parts of north Andhra Pradesh.

They were below normal in the plains of Uttar Pradesh, northeast Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Vidarbha.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Sikkim, Bihar, in the plains of Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of northwest Madhya Pradesh, north central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha.

They were below normal in east Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of West Bengal. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Saurashtra, and above normal in the hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Kutch, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
