DMK didn't stall Coimbatore blast probe: police

E-Mail this report to a friend

The Tamil Nadu police have denied that its crime branch criminal investigation department was restrained from interrogating two Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leaders in the Coimbatore blast case.

A CB-CID release termed as "totally false" the reports that the government had turned down requests from the Special Investigation Team to interrogate former member of Parliament Ramanathan and legislator C T Dhandapani.

The SIT had neither sought any clearance to interrogate the DMK leaders nor was such clearance required, the release said.
