AIADMK denies Jaya is meeting Sonia

E-Mail this report to a friend

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham has denied reports in a section of the media that party general secretary J Jayalalitha would leave for New Delhi tomorrow to attend a function organised by the Spastics Society of India, in which Congress president Sonia Gandhi would also participate.

A party release termed as incorrect and far from the truth, the reports that Jayalalitha would discuss "some issues" with Gandhi. Jayalalitha had no such plan to visit Delhi, it added.

It may be recalled that Jayalalitha had yesterday denied reports that she had made "desperate overtures" to the Congress and that Gandhi did not respond to them.
