How Net savvy are you?
I'm quite Net savvy; I obviously know my way around the Net.
What do you enjoy doing online?
I basically use the Net for research and sometimes for leisure. I'm writing a book on pregnancy so if I want information on mythology, baby names or medical terms, the Net is handy. But there are certain topics, like yoga and aromatherapy, for which I don't go online, preferring to seek expert opinions instead.
What's your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
I have deadlines to meet and so I'm always racing against time. My Net hours are not scheduled. Once online, I spend around three hours at least.
What's your idea of a perfect Web site?
One that has a mix of everything - it should load quickly, have attractive graphics and good information.
Any favourite sites?
I like the search engines of Google as well as Yahoo. Google's very user-friendly. You get exactly what you want laid out for you. That's fantastic
Ever been ego-surfing?
I've done it once or twice. It would be silly not to explore it. It's fun checking out stuff on me. 90 to 95 per cent of the info is correct.
Is there something you'd like to buy or sell online?
No. I've never tried using my credit card online.
What do you love most about the Internet? What do you hate about it?
I love the fact that there's so much information available at your fingertips. I also love Yahoo! messenger's "Knock knock, I'm online" message, it's great fun!
I hate junk mail. No matter what you do to make those guys unsubscribe you, they persist in sending you trash. It's stupid! You get 200 unwanted messages and it's enough to piss you off. Also, these things that keep popping on screen, 'Win this and win that', 'Get this free", get irritating. Another thing I hate is that anybody can just intrude into your system and destroy all your effort
What's your favourite Web-based gadget?
My video cam. I email video clips of my family members to others all over the world
Any strange experience online?
Not really.
Ever chatted with strangers?
There's no time to chat with friends, let alone strangers.
Is there any one celebrity you'd love to chat online with?
No. I'd rather talk to them in person.
If the Net didn't exist…
I'd be inconvenienced for sure.
