How Net savvy are you on a scale of one to ten?
I'd give myself a five. I'm fairly Net savvy.
What do you enjoy doing online?
I check my mail. And if there's a film festival on the scene, I log on to avail of the entry forms.
What's your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
I spend at least an hour everyday. All my online time is work-based. If you wanna check out stuff on distributors of films or you wanna sell some, you go to the Web. You need to check out the quality, you wanna be in the know of film festivals, marketing of films or international agents, you log on.
What's your idea of a perfect Web site?
It should be easy to load, attractively designed, quick to go through and comprehensive.
Any favourite sites?
I don't visit any leisure sites.
Ever been ego-surfing?
Once in England, a journalist wanted some backup data on me. That's when I
had to go through certain sites on myself. I had no idea that there were so many pages on me. Some of the stuff there is crazy. Absolute crap. I was shocked at the lies perpetrated. There should be some kind of litigation.
Is there something you'd like to buy or sell online?
No.
What do you love most about the Internet? What do you hate about it?
I like the fact that you can access anything anywhere, at the press of a button. It's
phenomenal. I don't really hate anything about it.
Ever chatted with strangers?
No. I don't talk to strangers.
If you could change anything about the Internet, what would it be?
I wish the speed was faster.
Have you downloaded music, pictures or traded in stocks online?
I download pics and all kind of music, especially if I find something interesting and different.
If the Net didn't exist…
I'd be very handicapped.
