I'd rate myself at 5. Though not extremely Net-savvy, I manage to find my way around.

What do you enjoy doing online?
I enjoy using email, Icq and MSN chat. I also like to read articles from old editions of magazines like India Today, Elle and Femina or newspaper archives of New York Times. Beside, I check my tarot readings, horoscope, and astrology forecasts.

How much time do you spend online?
I first got hooked online when some friends who couldn't believe I did not have an email account showed me how to create one three years ago. Surfing followed that... My day is pretty hectic so I normally get online at night and browse the Web for at least two hours.

Now, I'm not addicted to the Net, but I get withdrawal symptoms if I don't check email for more than a couple of days.

Your idea of a perfect Web site?
That would be one that doesn't have too many topics. It should be precise and to the point, so that I don't get snowed under by information. I would put up a Web site when I am nominated for the Oscars :-). I'd have made it then, and would have lots to tell people.

What do you hate or like most about the Internet?
I like the fact that the world really becomes a small place on the Net. I've had some good times when old friends have managed to get in touch with me after years, simply by fluke... They tried to see if my email ID existed and that sparked off some great conversations.

What bugs me is when the people get my address casually and think they have the right to your life, just because I'm a celebrity. Also, I hate it when porn sites send junk mail to my account without me being able to block them completely.

Besides, connectivity in India is terrible. It just sucks.

Have you ever chatted with a stranger online?
Yes I have, but most of my experiences have been nice. They talk to me about my work and some give me critical feedback, even when I don't ask for it. But some didn't believe me when I told them who I was. So I think it's better to stick with a fake identity!

What would you like to buy online?
I'd love to buy antique jewellery. In fact, I'd even like to trade stocks online, since I don't know much about them and the process sounds very simple online.

I've also seen lots of friends download music. I think it's great to have good stuff right there for the taking... I'm all for getting music off the Net and using a CD Writer.

A Web-based gadget you would like to own?
A laptop that I could carry around when I travel, to be more connected.

If the Internet didn't exist, I would be...
Quite out of touch with life.
