On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate yourself?
I'd give myself at five. I wish I had more time to surf.
What's your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
I check my email first thing in the morning, while having a cup of tea. I spend one hour a day online.
Which are your favourite sites?
Rediff.com.
Have you ever been ego surfing?
Yeah. I perform a search every couple of months and am surprised with the interviews that are online. It's fun reading stuff -- the good as well as the bad.
Is there something you'd like to buy or sell online?
I'm very old school. I like to see what I am buying and will not do it online.
What do you like most about the Internet? What do you hate about it?
The Internet is the best thing to have happened to us. You have any information you want at the click of a button. That fascinates me. It has made the world a small place and everything is so accessible. Email has helped me keep in touch with family and friends all over the world and it's what keeps me going when I am shooting on location. I'd be miserable and lost without it.
I hate the fact that when you are a public figure there's a lot of untrue stuff written about you. It's bad enough when magazines destroy your privacy. But the Net is even more destructive as it has a much wider reach. Luckily I have not had bad things and lies written about me but I would be shattered if that happened.
Have you ever chatted with strangers? Did you reveal your identity?
I get on MSN when I'm on location to chat with family and friends back home. While chatting, I do get asked if I'm Perizaad Zorabian. I just deny it and politely tell the person that I don't talk to strangers. I hate being rude and luckily have not had to deal with any obnoxious, annoying, persistent people.
If you could change anything about the Internet, what would it be?
If wrong and baseless stuff is written about a person, he or she should be able to rectify it immediately.
If the Net did not exist....
My world would be very different. My friendships are so strong thanks to email that I can't think about life without the Internet.
Is there any one celebrity you'd love to chat with online?
Al Pacino. He is GODDDDD.
