January 05, 2021 09:24 IST

With so many films shifted to 2021, it's going to be a busy year for Bollywood's actors.

Joginder Tuteja looks at the busiest bunch of actors of 2021.

As has been the case for many years, Akshay Kumar leads the pack with multiple films in different stages of production.

Sooryavanshi, Bell Bottom and Prithviraj are ready.

Meanwhile, he has started shooting for Atrangi Re along with Bachchan Pandey.

As 2021 proceeds, he will also bring Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu on the floors.

As we had said earlier, 2021 is all set to be an Akshay Kumar film festival in theatres!

Salman Khan
Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Antim: The Final Truth, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, Kick 2

Even his under-performers do business in the vicinity of Rs 150 crore -- see Race 3 and Dabangg 3. A Salman Khan movie guarantees footfalls in theatres.

Rest assured, Radhe will result in packed houses all over again.

He has started working on Antim co-starring brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.

There's also Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and Kick 2 coming up.

Ajay Devgn
Bhuj: The Pride of India, Maidaan, Mayday, RRR

Another superstar who consistently releases at least two films every year is Ajay Devgn.

He holds the record for the biggest grosser of 2020, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

His Bhuj: The Pride Of India will release on OTT soon.

While he has shot for a substantial portion of Maidaan, he is busy with his directorial, Mayday.

Meanwhile, RRR, in which he has a cameo, is scheduled for 2022.

John Abraham
Mumbai Saga, Satyameva Jayate 2, Attack, Pathan, Ek Villain 2, Sardar & Grandson

With six films in different stages of production, John Abraham is next to Akshay Kumar, when it comes to the sheer number of releases.

2020 was meant to be special for him with Mumbai Saga, Satyameva Jayate 2 and Attack. While these will release in 2021, he has also started work on Pathan.

John goes grey in Ek Villain 2 and has a special appearance in Sardar & Grandson.

Kartik Aaryan
Dhamaka, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Dostana 2, Red Chillies' next with Ajay Behl, remake of Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Om Raut's next, Shashank Khaitan's next

It could well have been an eventful year for Kartik Aaryan had things stayed as per plan, with releases like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2.

Now, he adds Dhamaka to the list.

With four other films in the pipeline, Kartik is set to have a packed schedule in 2021.

Ranbir Kapoor
Brahmastra, Shamshera, Luv Ranjan's next, Animal

His last release was Sanju in 2018, which means it's a wait of three years for a Ranbir Kapoor film arriving on the big screen.

One waits to see if Brahmastra arrives first or Shamshera does.

Meanwhile, he has chalked out plans for Luv Ranjan's light-hearted entertainer that goes on the floors soon.

There is also Animal with Kabir Singh Director Sandeep Reddy Venga.

Tiger Shroff
Heropanti 2, Ganapath: Chapter One

Tiger Shroff is quietly and consistently making a film or two at a regular pace and delivering hits.

His association with mentor Sajid Nadiadwala continues in 2021 with Heropanti 2.

Then there is Ganapath: Chapter One directed by Super 30 Director Vikas Bahl.

Saif Ali Khan
Adipurush, Bunty aur Babli 2, Bhoot Police, Tandav

2020 saw a resurgence of sorts for Saif Ali Khan as his solo starrer Jawani Jaaneman did decent business.

His villain act in the blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was also appreciated.

He turns villain again in Adipurush where he plays Raavan.

There are comedies Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Bhoot Police in the lineup as well.

First is the Web series Tandav releasing on January 15.

Ranveer Singh
'83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Cirkus

Ranveer Singh has been waiting patiently for the release of '83 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, both of which are complete.

He has started shooting for the comedy Cirkus where he reunites with his Simmba Director Rohit Shetty.

Rajkummar Rao has already seen the release of two of his films on the OTT medium in 2020: Ludo and Chhalaang.

The new year will begin with another OTT release, The White Tiger. Then it would be a theatrical arrival for Roohi Afzana (which is complete) and Badhaai Do (which has gone on the floors).

He will also start working on Second Innings and the remake of the Telugu film, HIT.
