Viji Tampy’s Nadodi Mannan and Dr. Suvid Wilson’s Bangles are the two weekend releases, reaching the screens on October 18.

Here is a closer look at both the films.

Nadodi Mannan

Director: Viji Tampy

Cast: Dileep, Ananya, Archana Kavi, Mythily

Written by Krishna Poojappura, who is known for his humorous scripts, Nadodi Mannan has Dileep playing Padmanabhan, who makes a living participating in demonstrations organised by various political outfits.

He has no political leanings but after some interesting incidents, he becomes the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram.

Meera (Ananya) is a bold girl, Aathira (Archana Kavi) is a member of a royal family and Rima (Mythily) is a journalist. Hindi actor Sayaji Shinde plays the main villain.

Nadodi Mannan is being produced under the banner of Chithram Films. Sanjeev Sankar is the cinematographer and Vidyasagar is the music director.

 

Bangles

Bangles, a suspense thriller involving a cinematographer named Vivek and three women, is Dr Suvid Wilson’s first film as director.

There are some mysterious happenings that make this story exciting according to the director, who has written the story and has scored the music.

Syam Menon, who had written the script for Cocktail (which incidentally was a frame-to-frame copy of the British-Canadian film Butterfly On A Wheel, titled Shattered in the US) is credited with the screenplay and dialogues.

Dileep Raman is the cinematographer.
