Item numbers have never faded out from Bollywood, but Munni and Sheila have undoubtedly given them a fresh impetus. Here's a look at the item numbers you should watch out for in the coming months.

Mallika Sherawat

If there's one woman who can give Munni and Sheila a run for their money, it is Mallika Sherwat. Remember Maiyya Maiyya in Guru? She will soon be seen in two item numbers -- Razia Gundo Mein Phas Gayi in Anees Bazmee's Thank You and in Chandrakant Singh's Bin Bulaye Baaratii.

Reports that she has charged Rs 3 crore for the latter only has us more intrigued. The song, which is shot in Goa, is music composer Anand Milind's comeback vehicle.

You will see Deepika Padukone in her second item number after Billu in Rohan Sippy's Dum Maaro Dum (borrowed from the classic Hare Rama Hare Krishna film). Taking over from Zeenat Aman, Dips will swing her hips to the remixed version of Dum Maro Dum.

Pritam has composed the music, while Bosco and Ceasar have choreographed it. The film has Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar as the lead stars.

Chitrangada Singh hopes to take a break from her serious image (thanks to films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Sorry Bhai and Yeh Saali Zindagi), and do an item song in Desi Boyz.

The film stars Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, but with gorgeous Chitrangada to look forward to, the stars might just find their thunder stolen.

Sheila Ki Jawani in Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan probably did more for Kat's sex appeal than any other film. The actress has decided to go for an encore in Farah's husband Shirish Kunder's film Joker.

The film stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. It was rumoured that Sonakshi would be doing an item number in the film, but the actress has ruled it out saying she is not bold enough to do item numbers yet.

Lisa Haydon and Sanjay Dutt shot for an item number in Rascals recently. Lisa's role was written after director David Dhawan saw her work in Aisha.

In Rascals, both Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, who is also producing the film, are in love with Lisa. Like all David Dhawan movies this one is a comedy as well.

The voluptuous Veer actress (and Katrina Kaif lookalike!) may seem like an unlikely choice for an item song. But that's what she will do in the Salman Khan-starrer Ready.

The song, choreographed by Mudassar Khan and Raju Khan, has been shot over three days in various Bangkok clubs.
