Ranked among one of the best dancers of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor made his entry in films as part of choreographer Shiamkar Davar’s troupe in songs of Taal and Dil To Pagal Hai.

The actor and his nimble moves enjoyed independent spotlight after making his debut as the leading man of Ken Ghosh’s campus romance, Ishq Vishq.

Now, ever since the song and dance promos of Phata Poster Nikla Hero went on air, the 32-year-old hotstepper is making waves for his snazzy steps.

We look at some of the best on-screen dances of his decade-old career.

Click through the slide show and vote for your favourite at the end.

Tu mere agal banal, Phata Poster Nikla Hero

In keeping with the trippy mood and whimsical lyrics of this insanely catchy Pritam number, Shahid gets into the tapori spirit with blustering cheek and flashy clothing.

But it’s the doggie dance interlude, we’re digging the most.

In Jab We Met, Shahid plays a shy, soft-spoken industrialist who opens up in Kareena Kapoor’s live wire, chatterbox company.

And that sense of unshackling is evident as he breaks into a forceful, glamorous jig with his vivacious co-star in the 2007 chartbuster, Mauja Mauja.
