In Bollywood's cutthroat and self-seeking universe, a professional (and personal) relationship as long standing and warm as the one between Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Raj Films is quite a rarity.

The superstar has worked with one of India's leading film studio run by the filmmaker father-son duo Yash and Aditya Chopra in quite a few films for over a decade. And here's the best part. While some went on to make film history, every single of them turned out to be a profitable box office proposition.

SRK is back on board for Yash Chopra's last creation Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The Diwali release has expectedly opened to massive collections.

While the film itself has generated a mixed response, everyone from Amitabh Bachchan to audience is hailing SRK's restrained, mature act as one of his career best performances.

What do you think? Is Jab Tak Hai Jaan Shah Rukh's best Yash Raj film till date? Have a look at the films he's made with the banner, and vote for your favourite at the end.

Darr (1993)

Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla in Darr

The year 1993 saw SRK embrace negativity with a vengeance.

While Baazigar, to some extent, defended his nefarious deeds as settling of scores, his stalker Sunil was plain creepy chasing a girl who has no interest in him by devising various evil schemes.

The actor's over-the-top, dramatic delivery as the obsessed lover stuttering 'K-k-k-kiran' worked. And how!

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

And then the same actor famously wiped out any traces of hostility with his adorable act as Raj Malhotra in Aditya Chopra's epic blockbuster romance, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

He could have easily eloped with the girl but SRK's insistence on doing it the right way won his a lifelong fan supply of gushing, starry-eyed romantics.

Dil To Pagal Hai (1997)

Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Dil To Pagal Hai

There wasn't much in terms of story in Dil To Pagal Hai's love triangle but Chopra Senior's dreamy treatment to the snazzy musical, SRK-Madhuri's roaring chemistry, Karisma Kapoor's fragile outburst and Akshay Kumar's surprise element ensured it's a little more than standard fluff.

Moreover, women just couldn't help swooning over SRK's smooth confidence as a man who goes all out to win his girl.

Mohabbatein (2000)

Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbatein

Aditya Chopra's second film as director introduced and re-introduced a bunch of young actors who fizzled in the backdrop even as this moral battle of tradition against spirit was bravely salvaged by the histrionics of Amitabh Bachchan's tenacity and SRK's faith.

In his first film opposite the mighty B, SRK stood his own best in the climatic face-off with that punch of a dialogue, 'Aap tab bhi hare the. Aur aap aaj bhi haarein hain.'

Saathiya (2002)

Tabu and Shah Rukh Khan in Saathiya (2002)

Though it's only a guest appearance, SRK along with Tabu made a terrific contribution to Shaad Ali's breezy remake of Mani Ratnam's Alaipayuthey as IAS officer Yeshwant Rao trying to comfort his visibly distraught wife responsible for an unfortunate car accident.

It's a pity no one ever thought of casting this lovely couple together again.

Veer-Zaara (2004)

Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in Veer Zaara

The old-fashioned romance featuring SRK and Preity Zinta with Rani Mukerji propogates a cross-border romance between a Indian pilot and Pakistani girl. How the hostilities between the two nations lead to more than two decades of separation but fails to diminish their love is what Veer-Zaara celebrates.

This is SRK's forte and he barely fails. Especially when backed by the late Madan Mohan's lilting score and Yash Chopra's trademark allure.

Chak De! India (2007)

Shah Rukh Khan in Chak De! India

Three years after winning some of his lost fans with Swades, SRK decided to amaze his fans and detractors yet again with a rock solid performance as the Indian coach of a women's hockey team in Shimit Amin's brilliant Chak De! India.

There's just one word to sum his performance as Kabir Khan, everything -- from his wry smile to blunt dedication to edgy stubble to palpable intensity -- flawless.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008)

Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Playing a flamboyant romantic comes easy to the actor who's played and even parodied one (Om Shanti Om, remember?) in a series of mushy fares.

And that's why one appreciated his sweet and goofy avatar as the mustached Surinder Sahni way more than the cocky and flashy Raj Kapoor in Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Bottomline: A-One hai ji!
