The 64th Cannes Film Festival, which came to a close on Suday, saw a record number of Bollywood celebrities sashaying down the red carpet.

Among the notable apearances were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat and Freida Pinto (Saif Ali Khan and Minissha Lamba made blink-and-you-miss appearances).

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

For the opening ceremony, Ash wore a beautifully structured Ellie Saab gown that complimented her slightly chubby frame.

This was Ash's third and the last appearance at the 64th Cannes Film Festival.

Fashionista Sonam Kapoor made the maximum appearances and received mostly positive reviews with a couple of misses.

Sonam was the only one who brought a bit of Indianness with this Masaba Gupta sari and brownie points to her for that.

Sonam wore a Roberto Cavalli dress for a party hosted by the designer himself.

All set to party Cannes style, the actress looked glamorous in this outfit.

Someone rightfully remarked that she look like a white ostrich when Mallika turned up for amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes.

Freida wore a Lanvin dress for her maiden appearance at Cannes and was seen hanging out with beau Dev Patel.
