Former BJP member and Bollywood star Vinod Khanna, who lost out in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls, will be contesting the elections once again in 2014 from Gurdaspur district in Punjab.

Confirming the news,  the veteran actor tweeted: 'Look forward to representing my karmbhoomi Gurdaspur in the next Lok Sabha with blessings of the BJP Parliamentary Board & my constituents.'

'I welcome Ram Vilas Paswan back into the NDA fold,' the 67-year-old actor added.

Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, who last shared screen space for a song in Tees Maar Khan, recently shot a song together for Kabir Sadanand's Fugly

Ashvini Yardi, who is co-producing the movie, shared a picture of them from the sets and tweeted: 'The big day draws to an end. Wouldn't have been same without my 2 superstars! Thank u @BeingSalmanKhan & @akshaykumar.'

The film stars newcomers Kiara Advani, Mohit Marwah, Vijender Singh and Arfi Lamba.

Priyanka Chopra resumes shooting for Mary Kom biopic

Priyanka Chopra, who is portraying the character of five-time world boxing champion Mary Kom in a forthcoming biopic, has resumed shooting for the film.
