Pix: Who rocked the Venice festival red carpet?

Madonna
Hollywood bigwigs are at the ongoing Venice film festival, hobnobbing with the who's who of world cinema and making red carpet appearances.

Madonna turned up on day two to promote her second directorial venture W.E looking weirdly baby-faced and beaming.

The singer upstaged her contemporaries in a floor-length dove-grey gown adorned with red butterflies, created especially for the star by Italian designer Vionnet and vintage shades.

Do you like the younger-looking Madonna?

Kate Winslet

English Rose Kate Winslet looked smashing in her olive-coloured body-hugging Victoria Beckham dress as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of her film Carnage.

Everything right from the hair to the shoes was spot on!

What do you think?

Bar Refaeli

Supermodel Bar Rafaeli left a lot to be desired with her ho-hum flared jumpsuit. Another Victoria Beckham creation to be spotted that very night, the dress did little to complement the model's statuesque frame.

We are disappointed.

What about you?

Evan Rachel Wood

Actress Evan Rachel Wood looks delish as she flaunts her toned legs on the red carpet for the film The Ides Of March.

The actress wore a stunning Alessandra Rich shirtdress and pulled off the look beautifully. Can we just say that we are floored?

What do YOU think?

Cindy Crawford

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford looks breathtaking in this sparkly Roberto Cavalli red gown as she arrives for the opening ceremony of the 68th Venice Film Festival in Venice.

The 45-year-old doesn't look a day over 25.

What say?

Abbie Cornish

Australian actress Abbie Cornish, who stars in Madonna's W.E, walks the red carpet for the film's premiere in a rather subdued Atelier Versace gown.

Not exactly jaw-dropping.

Isn't it?
