Worst Troublemaker in Bigg Boss? You Pick!

Bigg Boss works on a simple theory. That living under the same roof with a bunch of strangers, in a controlled environment with multiple cameras recording every single move and without any contact from the outside world for weeks, can play tricks on the mind and drive a person to act irrational and crazy.

And, God help, if these personalities happen to be the temperamental, quirky kind, which is pretty much always the case. In other words, wicked entertainment -- the loonier the celebrities, the stronger the TRPS, right?

Ever since its debut in 2006, Bigg Boss has captured the imagination of an unapologetically voyeuristic viewer with its coverage of small-timers engaged in a battle of egos, wit and backbiting. With every passing year, these conflicts have only gotten bigger and nastier.

In its fifth season now, the fireworks between the current housemates are louder than ever. Clearly, hell is empty and all the devils are locking horns inside the Bigg Boss home.

We bring here the nastiest celebs who've been on the show. Click through the slide show and vote for the worst of the lot at the end!

Rakhi Sawant, Season 1

Everyone expected something wild out the unprecedented drama queen of showbiz. And she delivered just that with her loud responses, fiery face-offs and ridiculous sentimentality in the maiden season.

From calling herself, 'characterless' to getting into stormy catfights with housemate Kashmera Shah to slipping into lengthy monologues with the camera, to her dramatic elimination and subsequent re-entry, Rakhi spelled the A to Z of paisa vasool on the idiot box.

Kashmera Shah Season 1

While never as flamboyant as Sawant, as her constant nemesis on BB, a hot-tempered Kashmera had no qualms about back-bitching or spitting venom at the slightest provocation resulting in a verbal scuffle with everyone from Ravi Kissen to Carol Gracias to Rupali Ganguly.

Her showdown with Rakhi, however, kick started the tradition of ugly on the Indian edition of the reality show.

Ravi Kissen, Season 1

How to plot, scheme and articulate slyness in the silkiest of words? Ask Bhojpuri star Ravi Kissen. His emotional camaraderie and conspiring attitude earned him both supporters and detractors.

Not to mention his fondness for swearing and emotional outburst earned the ire and suspicion of many-a-housemates.  His stint in Bigg Boss worked well for his career landing him roles in big-scale Bollywood flicks like Raavan and Luck.

Raja Chaudhry, Season 2

The perennially disturbed Raja Chaudhary continued his breaking news activity with his whimsical ways and boorish manners inside Bigg Boss's house.

Infamous for his bitter split with wife Shweta Tiwari on account of domestic violence, Raja demonstrated hostile behavior and abusive language against several of his co-dwellers and Sambhavna Seth, in particular.

When he wasn't fighting, he was sobbing uncontrollably, remembering his estranged wife and daughter, in a bid to show his civilised side to the audience.

Sambhavna Seth, Season 2

Behind that bubbly smile and happy-go-lucky aura is an extremely headstrong and brassy woman, whom you don't want to mess with.

From ganging up with Raja to take on fellow contestants -- Rahul Mahajan and Payal Rohatgi to waging war with the troubled man, Sambhavna had a hard time making up her mind.

But she had no issues about giving a piece of it, in the most offensive tone, to anyone who dare cross paths.

Kamal Rashid Khan, season 3

He hurled abuses at fashion designer Rohit Verma. He tossed a bottle in rage hurting starlet Shamita Shetty.

He went on a hunger strike to scoop a love admission out of model Claudia. He spoke rudely to comedian Raju Shrivastav. He boasted famously about owning a luxurious villa and importing milk, water and tea from Holland, France and London respectively.

Kamal Rashid Khan was quite an item. And till he was shown the door from Bigg Boss's house, he took pride in being the perfect cad.

Bakhtiyar Irani, Season 3

Blowing his top comes easily to Bakhtiyar. Or so we saw on Bigg Boss. The man with an explosive temper got into an almost fistcuff-like situation with Vindoo Dara Singh over a minor misunderstanding and engaged in an ugly public fight with wife and co-contestant, Tanaaz on the show.

For all his violent impulses, things worked out rather well for the guy. He grabbed Bigg Boss's offer to take a sum of Rs1 crore and quit without as much as a dent to his marriage.

Dolly Bindra, Season 4

Season 4 was easily dominated by the ferocity of Dolly Bindra. With her spiteful temper and maligning tone, she single-handedly character-assassinated and caused trouble between the contestants setting an unprecedented benchmark in crudeness.

Her constant screaming, fighting and rude remarks towards Ashmit Patel,  Shweta Tiwari, Sameer Soni, Sara Khan and Veena Malik making their lives a living nightmare.

Viewers, however, were both appalled and aroused by this new face of entertainment.

Pooja Missra, Season 5

'Spare me,' 'Talk to the hand,' the list of Pooja Misrraisms is endless. As the show's most volatile participant subject to wild mood swings -- one minute she's ready to claw your eyes out, and in a second she's calm like nothing happened  -- PM has left her housemates and viewers in a constant state of befuddlement.

Be it her near-physical encounters with others like Vida Samadzai, Shonali Nagrani, Siddharth Bharadwaj and Amar Upadhyay to being branded a psychiatric problem, Pooja's stint is memorable for all the wrong reasons.

And yet despite being the most nominated member, the lady's off-screen popularity ensures she gets saved each and every week.

Sky and Sidharth, Season 5

What happens when two bad boys get together? There's pandemonium in the house. And that's exactly what happened after the entry of Sky aka Akashdeep, model turned soap star and Veejay Siddharth 'Sid' Bharadwaj.

Their ceaseless plotting and loutish conduct towards the ladies has ruffled quite a few feathers. Things got really vicious when the twain took turns to insult Mahek Chhal with unkind allegations about her past.

Their bullying, intimidating mentality has turned foes out of friends like Amar and Shonali. From the looks of it, they're in the process to take each other now.
