Eight glamorous Mumbai girls, one real village in Punjab and what do you get? Why, a new reality show, that's what.

The show in question is Imagine's Desi Girl, a show about eight Mumbai-bred divas who are transplanted into a real life village in Punjab, in the battle to be crowned the ultimate Desi Girl.

Not only will these divas have to adapt to village life but they will also have to compete with one another to win the hearts of the villagers.

The villagers will ultimately decide which one of these city girls has it in her to be like them and win the title of Desi Girl.

The girls will stay with families from the village in their houses. In turn, each of the girls will undertake everyday tasks of the villagers such as milking cows, making cow dung cakes, cleaning the house, cooking food for the family and much more.

The divas will need to prove the villagers that they are not just glamour and style but also have the ability to live and thrive in the 'real' India -- that they have it in them to be a true Desi Girl.

So who are these eight glamorous faces? Let's find out

Monica Bedi

The former Bigg Boss housemate has the home advantage. After all, she was born in a village near Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

Though she grew up in Norway, the beautiful kudi is confident of her chances to win.

"Being a Punjabi kudi, I am confident I will click with the villagers in a better way than the others. I don't think I will have to struggle much to win the title as I am a desi girl in the true sense."

Kashmera Shah

Best known for her roles in Yes Boss and Jungle, this actress and model can guarantee drama because of her unpredictable nature.

She can get extremely aggressive and adamant in a fight but promises to tone down her feistiness for the show.

"For a change my fans will see the gutsy and glamorous Kashmera Shah in a typical Gaon Ki Chhori avatar. I am hopeful they will accept me and continue to support me as always," she says.

Sambhavna Seth

She has also done item numbers for movies like Wadh, Zameer, Sauda, Pagalpan. But her claim to fame is reality shows.

On being part of Desi Girl, Sambhavna says, "It's time for us city girls to prove -- Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi. It is a challenge which I am sure I will complete with much ease."

Rucha Gujrati

She is very excited to be on Desi Girl. "The concept of the show is entirely contradictory to my lifestyle that I lead in Mumbai. This is going to be fun!", she says.

Despite all that exposure, Aushima says Desi Girl is a complete new experience for her. "The whole concept is in contrast with my personality but I am sure I will pull it off well," she says.
