Make way for TV's sexy new host

Former Miss India Natasha Suri plays Style Police on UTV Bindass' new show, and from the looks of it, does quite a good job.

Rajul Hegde caught up with Natasha, and asked her to share some of Bollywood's fashion secrets.

What kind of fashion secrets will you reveal on the show?

The show is not preachy or educative, it's informative. Audiences will get to know what Kareena Kapoor wore to the latest event or what Yuvraj Singh's favourite clothes brand is. We will chat with many celebrities. Additionally, we will have experts like designers, stylists and make-up artists.

How do you know their fashion secrets?

We know because we will be everywhere and will monitor everything on the fashion scene -- fashion shows, parties, vacations...

'The latest trend is the hat'

Can you tell us about the latest fashion trends?

According to me, the latest trend is the hat. It's an accessory that can be worn at any time of the day, to a brunch or a late night party. The hat has been fashionable even in the past but it's back now with a modern touch.

What is your fashion mantra?

Fashion should not have any rules -- it's all about what suits my personality and what I am most comfortable in.

'I would ban platform heels'

As the Style Police, what would you ban?

I would first ban platform heels.

Even though I am a tall girl, I just cannot live without wearing heels. I think every girl should own a good pair of heels.

Then, a big ban on the use of excessive foundation during the day, and clubbing too many accessories and colours on one dress at the same time.

White is my all-time favourite colour. If I had a choice, I would wear white all the time. But one should also experiment with colours.

'I celebrated Diwali with family and friends'

How did you spend Diwali?

I indulged in great home-cooked delicacies and sweets. Celebrated Diwali with family and friends, and had a good time.
