Imam: I misbehaved with Salman in Bigg Boss
True to its tagline, Alag chhe (It's different), the sixth season of Bigg Boss allowed housemates to interact with the media during the show on Thursday in Lonavala.
This has never happened in the earlier five seasons of the reality show.
The housemates -- Niketan Madhok, Sana Khan, Delnaaz Irani, Sapna Bhavnani, Imam Siddique, Rajev Paul and Urvashi Dholakia -- were asked to come to the activity area, where they were shocked to find the media present. But they gamely answered all the questions thrown at them.
Imam, who was known for his weird behaviour in the house -- he destroyed things in the house and threatened to strip inside the Padosi Bigg Boss house -- is quite unfazed when told that he has been popular with audiences but at the same time people feel that he is a psycho.
'I think I am an honest, sincere and humble person. I am not a psycho; you can get my medical check-up done. I am playing the game and I am on the show to entertain people.
'But yes, like everyone, I also have issues and react spontaneously when I am angry. I am as normal as anyone here,' he said.
'Salman gave me a fitting reply'
What about his tiff with the host Salman Khan a few days back during the nomination proceedings, when Salman threatened to go inside and beat him up?
"I didn't have a tiff with him. I misbehaved with him," Imam admitted. "Salman gave me a fitting reply. I am grateful to him because I needed to hear that from him at that point. I have respect for him. I've known him since the last 25 years. I will talk about it when I am out of the show."
Even before the assembled press, Imam behaved as he does on the show, blowing kisses, being loud and posing for the cameras. He was trying to get as much attention as he could.
"I am here to play the game. If I win the show, I will go to Umrah and Hajj. Then I will open a school in Rajasthan. I need everybody's support for this endeavour," he added
Another housemate, actress Delnaaz Irani, talked about her first reaction when she met her ex-husband Rajev Paul in the house.
"I had an intuition that Rajev might be part of the show. I experienced mixed feelings when I first met him. I was shocked, took a step back, and then smiled. We met and had a long chat over whatever happened in the past."
Delnaaz: I am happy if Rajev moves on with Sana or anyone else
Rajev claimed that he did not know Delnaaz was to be a housemate. "I had heard Delnaaz's name mentioned in the media, but nothing was confirmed," he said.
Delnaaz and Rajev ended their 14-year marriage legally last year. They had been living separately since 2010. There were rumours that they split because Delnaaz learnt that Rajev was cheating on her.
"We were not on talking terms before this show. From my side, it's closure. He is a wonderful human being. There are several reasons for the marriage to end," Delnaaz said, and added, "We are not living as a couple on the show but we will walk out as friends."
Rajev has been linked to another housemate, model-actress Sana Khan. So, is Delnaaz jealous of the relationship?
"I am not jealous. I am happy if he moves on with Sana or anyone else. I have always asked him to move on and I would be happy if he does so."
Sapna: I'm a wild cat
Hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani wanted to thank viewers for keeping her safe in the house.
'I am an unknown face in the house. I have never done television or been connected to this industry. Bandra ki rani hun main (I'm the queen of Bandra, a western Mumbai suburb) but nobody knows me in this platform.
'I think, mein junglee billi hu, jungliee billi achi hoti hai ghar mein. Kabhi kabhi uski zarurat pad jati hai...(I am a wild cat; sometimes it's good to have a wild cat in the house. You need it sometimes)," she said.
Rajev Paul has been flirting in the Bigg Boss house but recently, he crossed the limit when he grabbed and kissed Sana Khan.
It was just a good night kiss, he said. "Sana is just a good friend. If there is anything more to it I would have admitted it. Do you think I am scared of anyone or Delnaz? But I am not answerable to anyone except my parents."
Sana said she and Rajev were very close. "Rajev is aware of my personal life. In fact I have even told him that I want to find a good guy and make him meet Rajev. Delnaaz also knows the relationship we share. I don't care what other people feel."
Urvashi: I don't know who Bakhtiyar is
Bakhtiyar, Delnaaz's brother, had entered the house as a guest on the show.
He had warned Urvashi Dholakia not to say anything against his sister. He had said he appreciated Ekta Kapoor's casting skills as she had found a real vamp like Urvashi for her serials!
After Bakhtiyar left the house, Urvashi had said that he was forgetting the messages that he sent to her before the show.
When asked about these incidents, Urvashi refused to even recognise Bakhtiyar.
She said, "Who is Bakhtiyar? That day many other good things happened like my kids came to meet me. I don't remember anything before and after that. I don't know who he is."
