A quick glance at the image will tell you just how many he's been hurt at work.

On January 23, SRK suffered yet another injury while on the sets of Happy New Year and had to be hospitalised for medical treatment. He was discharged soon after.

In 1990, Shah Rukh had suffered an injury on his left knee during a fight sequence.

It was in 2007 that SRK injured his left shoulder for the first time.

He tore his supraspinatus -- one of the four rotator-cuff muscles in the shoulders -- while shooting an action sequence for his much delayed film, Dulha Mil Gaya.

He injured it again in 2008.

His shoulder worsened again while shooting for My Name Is Khan, when he had to jump over Kajol. He misjudged the jump and landed on his shoulder.

Shah Rukh went in for surgery only after finishing the film's shoot.

5. Back Injury

In 2001, while doing a guest appearance in Boney Kapoor's Shakti, Shah Rukh suffered yet another injury.

The actor preferred to go to the UK for his back surgery in April 2003.

6. The Left Knee

In 1994, while shooting a running sequence in Rakesh Roshan's Koyla, Shah Rukh Khan hurt his left knee.

If you watch the film closely, you will see Shah Rukh running with a duppatta tied around his knee. While you may have thought it was for the film, SRK had actually used co-star Madhuri Dixit's dupatta to ease the pain.

Despite the injury, he continued to shoot as the film's set was in Arunachal Pradesh and halting the shoot would mean heavy losses to the producer.

7. Three Ribs and Left Ankle

Shah Rukh's first major injury happened in the early 1990s while he was shooting for Darr at Mumbai's Film City.

In the scene, Shah Rukh had to jump on Anupam Kher, who was sitting on a sofa.

Just as SRK jumped, Kher accidentally lifted his leg, hitting SRK on his chest. Three of his ribs were fractured.

Shah Rukh has also twisted his left ankle while shooting for another film. He had to jump from the first floor for a fight sequence. As he landed, he twisted his ankle.
