Despite his once shocking statement that deep inside he is "Dilli ka gunda," one never associates violence with Shah Rukh Khan. So far, he seems to have taken great care to ensure he remains a hero worth emulating, not only for his fans and admirers but also for his two growing children.

The news of him allegedly thrashing Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's Agneepath success bash is hard to swallow. Yet, it's unmistakably evident that the superstar's once-wide friend circle is shrinking and the number of buddies-turn-foes is growing sharply. Here's looking at SRK's fiercest adversaries who don't see eye to eye with him anymore -- or some who, apparently, do:

It is a tragic fallout, perhaps the end of the road, of a close relationship that Shah Rukh once shared with Shirish and his wife Farah Khan who made Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om under his banner. Shirish has worked as an editor on these films and was, in fact, in Shah Rukh's good books.

However, it is when Shah Rukh turned down his film, Joker that their relationship strained. Shirish's snipes at Ra.One on twitter were the ultimate nail in the coffin and that's precisely what provoked the actor to confront him at Dutt's birthday event

The hate process had begun a while ago, actually; first, Farah was sidelined from the Khan camp which caused her to seek refuge in Salman Khan's company. This didn't please her old friend.

As if that wasn't enough, SRK's alleged assault on Shirish has worsened the situation irrevocably.

A minor disagreement at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash resulted in one of the most talked about brawls of our time.

Nobody knows for quite sure why Salman lost his cool on Shah Rukh and there are only various, unconfirmed theories floating around but the incident left such a scar on Salman that the rift appears to be only widening with both parties in no mood to call a truce.

It all began with this dig; his usual self in an award function, Shah Rukh joked that he sees darindagi (evil) in the politico's eyes.

Fuming, Amar Singh, who was at one point among India's most influential politicians promised to hit back. He said he would humiliate SRK publicly and remarked tersely, "Shah Rukh makes jokes publicly and apologises privately."

It is believed they quickly made up but the relationship isn't the same anymore.

One of the oldest running cold wars in Bollywood, Sunny felt under-utilised in Yash Chopra's Darr and privately blamed SRK for having his role cut out. SRK went on to become Yash Raj's blue eyed boy and the rest is history.

Sulking, Sunny nursed this hurt for close to two decades and finally, the two patched up at Subhash Ghai's bash.
