In the entertaining American Hustle, appearances are vital for the sweeping impression its protagonists are aiming to create.

Set in the late 1970s, the David O Russell con caper has grabbed a lot of eyeballs for its seductive costumes and lavish resurrection of the fashion fads typical to the Studio 54 era.
