Teacher's Day Special: Looking at Shah Rukh, Kareena's schools
They say our most impressionable years are spent in school, learning some of the earliest life lessons, as we navigate our way outside the protective confines of our family.
School life becomes a memory, when we move on to bigger milestones in life, but they have a huge deal to do with who we become when we grow up.
We celebrate Teacher's Day by looking at some of the schools our beloved Bollywood stars went to.
Shah Rukh Khan, St Columbas School, New Delhi
Before he became Bollywood's reigning star, Shah Rukh Khan excelled as a student at academics and sports in St Columbas School in New Delhi.
The Chennai Express actor studied Economics at Hansraj College before he made his way to Mumbai.

Salman Khan (The Scindia School, Gwalior)
Scriptwriter Salim Khan's eldest son and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was enrolled in the Scindia School in Gwalior. Younger brother Arbaaz followed suit.
Salman was later enrolled in St Stanislaus High School in Bandra, a western Mumbai suburb, where he now lives with his family.

Kareena Kapoor (Wellhams Girls School, Dehradun)
Kareena Kapoor attended Jamnabai Narsee school in Mumbai followed by Welham Girls' School in Dehradun -- a traditional boarding school for girls located in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Other notable alumni of the school are Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar, actress Sonali Bendre and director Deepa Mehta.

Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt (The Lawrence School, Sanawar)
The Lawrence School, Sanawar is located in the picturesque Kasauli Hills near Chandigarh and is an alma mater of actors Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan.
Some of the notable former students of school, also known as Sanawarians, include Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, filmmakers Shaad Ali and Apoorva Lakhia and actresses Pooja Bedi and Neena Gupta.

Priyanka Chopra, who moved around a lot as a child thanks to army doctor parents, moved to the US at 13 to attend schools in Newton, Massachusetts, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
La Martiniere in Lucknow was among the many schools she attended in India.

Actress Kangna Ranut, who was born in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, did her schooling from DAV Public School in Chandigarh.
Kangna went on to pursue a Bachelors degree in Arts before she left for New Delhi to become a model.

Phata Poster Nikla Hero actor Shahid Kapoor attended the Gyan Bharti school in New Delhi before he was enrolled in Rajhans Vidyalaya in Mumbai.

The bubbly Preity Zinta was sent packing to the convent of Jesus & Mary boarding school in Shimla at a young age where she performed well in studies as well as sports.
The actress went on to do her English Honours from St Bede's college in Shimla.

Amitabh Bachchan (Sherwood College, Nainital)
Amitabh Bachchan, often hailed as one of the most articulate actors ever in Bollywood, was a part of the class of 1958 at Sherwood Boarding College in Nainital.
Actors Kabir Bedi, Ram Kapoor and Dalip Tahil are other former Sherwoodians in Bollywood.

Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan (Bombay Scottish, Mumbai)
Established in 1847 by Scottish Christian missionaries, Bombay Scottish School boasts of some of the most popular Bollywood names among its alumni.
Apart from John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan and television czarina Ekta Kapoor also went to school at Bombay Scottish.
