Trisha and Karthika Nair team up with NTR Jr

The keenly-awaited Dammu, starring NTR Jr, releases on April 27.

Boyapati Seenu directs NTR Jr for the first time. Much is expected of the film because of this combo as the director has delivered three hits in a row.

Boyapati Seenu has not spared anything for this big-budget mass commercial entertainer produced by Alexander Vallabha (presented by K S Rama Rao).

NTR has two lovely co-stars, Trisha and Karthika Nair.

Trisha was signed as the main lead after Shruti Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal left the film on account of date issues.

Karthika says, "My character in this film has a mass appeal. Seenu Sir wanted me for the role and so I signed on. One can look forward to the characterisation and even a small character has a special place."

Others in the cast include Kota Srinivasa Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Ali, Suman, Bhanupriya, Nasser, Venu Thottempudi and Abhinaya.

Since there are two heroines, can we expect a love triangle?

"There is love and in fact all the emotions. The film is about a king and his kingdom and a boy and his dammu," says Karthika.

This big budget film is a family entertainer. "The main set was at Pollachi (in Tamil Nadu). The film was also shot in Ramoji Film City. Most of the songs were shot on the sets," says Karthika.

M M Keeravani scores the music. The audio which released a while ago has quite a following. Arthur Wilson is the cinematographer and Ram-Lakshman choreographed the action sequences.

The film has an A certification from the Censor Board which could be a slight disadvantage.
