The Kannada industry never seems to tire of remakes. The buzz doing rounds now is that a producer is trying to secure the rights of Tamil blockbuster Paruthiveeran. The film had Karthi and Priyamani in the lead roles.

Actors Vijay, Yogish and newbie Sreekanth are in the contention for the lead role. Priyamani now being a big name in the Kannada industry it remains to be seen if she will be repeated in this version too.

The director is also yet to be zeroed in on. And with A listers like Yograj Bhatt, Shashank and Suri having their hands full, your guess is as good as ours.

I am Sorry Mathe Banni Preethsona is a film that has generated enough publicity for itself. First it was the news that Prem had done a Salman Khan by going shirtless in the film and next it was the squabble about which of the three heroines had bagged the most significant role. But now the film finally seems to be making news for the right reasons.

The music of this film is becoming popular among youth. In fact the team went around leading colleges and released their album. Ee preethi ee prema subhan allah re is the most popular number in the album. Anup Silin is the music director. Many fresh talents have written the lyrics for the film. Raveendra is the director.

After Katha Sangama, that saw three stories being told in one film and Aidh Ondla Aidu (five stories in a film), yet another similar venture is being planned. This time TN Nagesh is packing six stories together. The film has been titled Panchamrutha.

The common thread between all these stories is that they all have Deepavali festival as the backdrop. Each story will be dedicated 20 minutes. There will be a one and a half minute song in each of the plots. Ashley Abhilash is the music director. Rock bands and folk singers have been roped in too.

Devraj, Yagna Shetty, Srinagara Kitty, Ramya Barna, Pooja Gandhi, Raghu Mukherjee, Neethu, Dilip Raj, Achyuta, Supreetha and Ravi Shankar are part of the cast.

Yagna and Kitty and Neetu and Dilip are being paired opposite each other for the first time while this is going to be Pooja and Raghu's second film together.
