Who will be Bheema in Randamoozham?

Is it going to be Mammootty or Mohanlal who will play the role of Bheema in the forthcoming film directed by Hariharan, based on the acclaimed novel Randamoozham by the Jnanpith Award winner M T Vasudevan Nair?

The novel is the classic story of the Pandava brothers narrated from the perspective of Bheema.

Though Mohanlal had the edge initially, considering his experience playing the mythological character in the play Chaaya Mukhi, the grapevine has it that it will be Mammootty who will bag the role. But someone other than the two big Ms cannot be ruled out. Watch this space for an update.

Jayasurya as school teacher

After Prithviraj, it's the turn of Jayasurya to play the role of a government school teacher. The former's film, Manikyakkallu, is currently in the theatres and the latter is getting ready with Vadhyar.

Jayasurya says, "I haven't seen Manikyakkallu but I am aware about the storyline. Though the basic backdrop is that of a government school, the similarities end there. The character that I am playing is a youngster who hates his job as a school teacher initially."

Ann Augustine plays the female lead while heroine of yesteryears, Menaka, has an important role.

Prithviraj, Suresh Gopi in Indian Rupee

After the success of Pranchiyettan & the Saint, director Ranjith has started filming Indian Rupee. Prithviraj and Suresh Gopi play the lead male roles in the film, with Rima Kallingal as the heroine. The buzz is that veteran actor Thilakan is also part of the cast.

The shooting of the film has started in Thiruvananthapuram. Indian Rupee is being produced jointly by August Cinemas and Capitol Theatre. The cinematography is by S Kumar and the music director is Shahabaz Aman.
