Asif Ali, who played a cameo in Ustad Hotel, which is the flavour of the season, has reason to be excited.

He made a definite impact in the film, even though he was on screen for only a few minutes.

In his scene, after inaugurating the renovated 'Ustad Hotel', he enjoys a biryani. A member of the hotel staff played by Mamukkoya, smiles at him and asks hesitantly, "Kunchacko Boban alle?" (You are Kunchacko Boban, right?). An angry Asif retorts that he is "Amitabh Bachchan."

The scene is a big hit with viewers, but it came about by chance.

"Actually I was there to do a cameo but when Mamukkoya cracked this joke on the set during the shooting, Anwar decided to include it in the film. And I have been receiving tremendous appreciation for the scene ever since," says Asif happily.

Padmapriya's item song

Padmapriya is one of the most talented actors in Malayalam cinema from the time she made her debut in Blessy's Kazhcha.

She is known to play strong characters like the one in Pazhassi Raja or Kutty Srank, but she is right now in the news for all the wrong reasons.

She appeared in an 'item number' towards the end of the recently released Bachelor Party, gyrating suggestively to the tune of some rather 'curious' sounding lyrics. She has reportedly accepted only a nominal payment for this performance, she says.

The buzz in the trade is that Padmapriya seems to be tired of her goody-goody image and wanted to experiment with something 'different'.

The question is whether the 'hell dance' (the dance sequence happens in hell) with the heroes and the baddies dancing along with her after their death, worked in her favour.

Well, your guess is as good as ours!

Sunny Wayne, who played the hero's sidekick, Kurudi, in Second Show, made quite an impression in his debut role. He has since done quite a few films like the forthcoming Nee Ko Njaa Chaa.

Sunny plays a brief role in Vineeth Sreenivasan's Thattathin Marayathu but it has turned out to be one of the key scenes in the film.

He plays a macho young man, who is totally shaken up when the girl he likes starts romancing another boy. He and his friends beat the other boy to pulp. His actions during the sequence are hilarious.
