Manjari Phadnis

Prashanth Raj's Kannada musical Gaana Bajaana did little to impress but his maiden venture Love Guru is still remembered by cine goers. Cashing in on its popularity, Prashanth is now getting ready to direct a Kannada sequel, Love Guru 2.

Of the four lead actors in the first film -- Radhika Pandit, Tarun, Dilip Raj and Yagna Shetty -- only Tarun is likely to be repeated. However, the cast is yet to be finalised.

This time the film will be about two lovers belonging to different communities. "It will be on the lines of the Hindi film Bombay," says Prashanth.

Love Guru 2 will go on the floors only after Prashanth's current venture Dilkush Conditions Apply is completed, which has Navdeep and Manjari Phadnis in the lead. Navdeep has done hit films in Telugu and Tamil. He was also seen alongside Allu Arjun in Arya 2. Manjari was noticed for her role in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Naa that launched Imran Khan.

"This film will be heavy on emotions. It's about a girl's quest for the perfect guy," says the director.  The film is based on the true story of Prashanth's friend. Dilkush will be released in Tamil and Telugu as well. To provide a feel of the film, a promotional video worth Rs 12 lakh has been shot.

"It's a two and a half minute video. It will include a track sung by Joshau Shreedhar.  A bunch of kids were flown in especially from Mumbai for the shoot," says Prashanth. Young guns of the Tamil and Telugu industries will release the video in August. The film will be shot in Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, South Korea and Sri Lanka.

Yogesh

Kannada actor Yogesh has been flying high after receiving plaudits for his role in Hudugaru. For those who enjoyed the comedian in him, there is good news: He will be displaying his comic talents yet again in Sidlingu. Yogi plays a brat in the film and is paired opposite Ramya, who plays a government school teacher.

While his fans are thrilled about the project, Yogi is looking forward to it the most because he gets to play opposite his favourite actress Ramya. He recently turned 21 and claimed that the opportunity to act with Ramya was a birthday gift!

In his next film Alemari, Yogi gets to romance another hot property of the industry, Radhika Pandit. Yogi recently did a photo shoot in 11 different get-ups for the film. This is hoping at least one of them weaves its magic over the masses.
