The ongoing tussle involving various film associations has made the Malayalam cinema industry a virtual battleground during the past one month. Film producers are blaming technicians for the increase in production costs, the exhibitors and the distributors are on the warpath, and all these controversies have brought film releases to a standstill.

There have been no releases of big Malayalam films for quite a while now and even shootings of some films have been cancelled. Major releases like Mammootty's Venice Ile Vyaapaari and Mohanlal's Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nair Um In Oru Marubhoomikkatha have been postponed to December.

Here is a look at the four films which are ready to hit the screens tomorrow, November 25.

Director: Sohan Roy

Cast: Joshua Smith, Linda Arsenio, Ashish Vidyarthi

According to writer-director Sohan Roy, Dam 999 is "an emotional thriller, which has been inspired by real life incidents and conveys a subtle message about the psychological stress that every individual experiences when one's feelings and desires are restricted."

He claims that it is a Hollywood movie made in India and will hit theatres across the country on November 25.

The film has been made in a grand way in 3D and is slated for an international release after the announcement of the Oscar nominations, in which the makers of the film hope to find a place.

The theme of the film has gained relevance with the threat to the Mullapperiyar dam suddenly becoming a major cause of concern in Kerala.
