Five Idiots and Veera Bahu are the two choices Kannada film goers can choose from this week.

Five Idiots is directed by famous child actor Master Anand, who has chosen a comic kidnap drama as the subject for his debut.

The main characters include a guy who has lost his job abroad due to recession, a man who shies away from family commitments due to his film ambitions, and another who neglects his studies.

These three along with their friends are in a fix and need to make a fast buck to get out of the mess. Their plan is to kidnap a big shot's daughter for ransom.

The film stars Anand, Vasu, Petrol Prassana, Namratha Hegde, Naveen Krishna and Harshika Poonacha.

Songs in the film, especially ringa ringa are already huge hits.

Director S Mahender is making a comeback after a three-year hiatus with this week's other release, Veerabahu, a love story laced with action.

It is for the first time that Mahender is making an action heavy film.

A gatekeeper of a graveyard is the hero, played by Vijay, his second release this year. The film is about the dreams and aspirations of this man.

The film also stars Nidhi Subaiah as a traditional Iyangari. However in the songs she will sport a glam look.

The film was shot over 58 days in Mutathi, Melkote, Sakleshpura, Mysore and Bangalore.

Harikrishna is the music director.
