Roopesh, a first time director, acted as the younger version of Mohanlal in the yesteryears hit Sphadikam.

"That happened just by chance as director Bhadran was a family friend. I have always been fascinated to stay behind the camera and I am an avid movie buff," Roopesh says.

"When I went to Dulquer with the script of Theevram, I didn't know him on a personal level and actually I was not even thinking about making the film so soon.

"After reading the script, Dulquer asked me when we could start the project and I said all I need is a month to start the shooting. This film is the result of that confidence," smiles Roopesh.

"We tend to limit our protests against injustice around us to statements that we make in our limited circles. This is an outburst of a youngster, which has been narrated in a rather different pattern," he adds.
