Politician Amar Singh is known for hogging the headlines and Dimple Kapadia, for her evergreen beauty.

Together they make quite an unlikely pair in director Umar Karikad's Malayalam film Bombay Mittayi. Shooting is curently underway in Kochi.

"We had several names in our list including Nana Patekar but it was one of my journalist friends from Delhi who suggested Amar Singh's name. We went to him with the script and he agreed to spare six days for the shooting and also recommended Dimple Kapadia for the role of his wife," says producer U Pradeep about how he landed the casting coup of sorts.
