Bollywood stars have come in support of three Kashmiri girls after Kashmir's top clergyman, Mufti Azam Mufti Bashiruddin, on Sunday issued a 'fatwa' against them for being part of a rock band which performed in Srinagar in December last year.

Here's what they said:

Vishal Dadlani: 'Absurd! Anyone know how to contact this band? I'd like to offer them a record deal.'

Karsh Kale: 'Fatwa issued against Kashmiri all-girl band. smeone is afraid of hw mch pwer 3 girls in a bnd might have on society. Remember what happened to the Dixie Chicks....support these girls from Kashmir and they will be the revolution. They are afraid that a girl with a guitar might just be more powerful than a man with a gun....and they are right....'

Raveena Tandon: 'true what this Mufti Azam saying? is Music a Vice in Islam? the most beautiful sounds of music came from Middle east. Is the world going mad or what?? 1st vishwaroopan and now this?? cmon people show some support!'

Onir: 'Its a shame that the clerics in Kashmir use Islam to terrorize the kashmiri girl band. They seem ignorant that music is an integral part of islamic culture. And no where does religion forbade people to sing. The youth in kashmir need to protest against this too.'
