Columnist Shobhaa De, who had publically criticised Sonam Kapoor earlier, now praised her for her acting skills in Raanjhanaa. But she was not too impressed with the film.

Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, enjoyed the film. 'In celebration saw 'Ranjhana' ... loved the premise, the execution the performance, and the UP atmosphere. Wishing it all success !' he wrote.

Abhishek Bachchan wrote: 'Congratulations @dhanushkraja @sonamakapoor @aanandlrai @actorzee what a beautiful film.'

Dhanush tweeted his thanks: 'Thank you tweeps. There is no easy way to express how much your love and support means.'

Actor Prateik Babbar shared the poster of his latest film Issaq and tweeted: 'Can't wait for the 26th of July. Peace & Love.'

The film marks the debut of 16-year-old Amyra Dastur.

Director Manish Tiwary has allegedly changed the name of the heroine from Amy to Amyra Dastur to avoid any confusion with the Pratiek's ex-girlfriend and actress Amy Jackson.

Set in Benaras, the film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's classic love story Romeo and Juliet.
