Dressed in the traditional white kurta-pajama, Shah Rukh Khan had invited the media to Mannat, his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on Eid, to talk about his forthcoming film Ra.One, the song Chammak Challo, which is getting a very good reception and how he missed out on roping in Lady Gaga. He also wished speedy recovery to Salman and greetings to his family.

"Everyone from our team VFX, Red Chillies and Anubhav, is working from my home. We have set up everything here so all the departments are working from here. So we don't know what kind of reaction we are getting for Ra.One from outside," he said.

Kareena Kapoor, though, has kept him posted about the good response that the song is getting. "Kareena messaged a few times telling us that everyone likes the song Chammak Challo. It has still not come on television -- it will start from third or fourth of September. I got a few calls from London saying they liked the promo of the song."

Shah Rukh said he is happy that Kareena is happy with the song "because she is the chammak challo. It was very important that Kareena likes the song because she is very special to me personally. I am also happy that she is looking nice and Manikandan has shot it very beautifully, and Ganesh (Hegde) has choreographed it very nicely. The beauty of the song is that Kareena is dancing to a south Indian verse, it feels very nice."

Speaking about Salman Khan's health and wishing him speedy recovery, the actor said, "If anybody is unwell we don't feel happy about it, we feel sad. I have lost health a couple of times with injuries. These are tough times for the family members too, so I pray for his family. They are very good friends of mine, they are my family. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I wish them all the best in life."

Emphasising the importance of good health, he said, "When people ask me about my kids, I never tell them they are happy or good in studies or very naughty, I always tell them they are healthy and I think that is the biggest dua (blessing) that you can give to anyone."

'Ra.One will release in 3D'

Asked if he has ever sinned and will confess to that sin, he said, "I am going to confess my sin in front of the world. Actually, if I confess, then it is not a sin. We are not scared of Khuda, we respect him, because he is a supreme being, he is like a father, he is like a parent, we are not scared of our father and mother and if we do any sin then Khuda will forgive us, so we don't even have to ask for forgiveness."

Back to the film, apart from Chammak Challo, there are two other songs that will be heard soon. "Yaara Dildara is based on Ben E. King's song Stand By Me -- it is done beautifully by Vishal Shekhar and I think it is the soul of the film." The third song by Akon is The Way Booty Goes Pop Pop Po, the booty (bum) in this case being Kareena's.

After the American pop star Akon, Shah Rukh was trying to get the outrageous Lady Gaga for this film, but it did not happen.

"I was trying for Lady Gaga. PC (Priyanka Chopra) had introduced me to her, but it is too late now because they take six to seven months for a song so I don't think it is possible. But it was good of them to offer us a song that we can use in the film.
They have also offered for me to feature in her video, but, unfortunately, they are shooting on the 14th or 15th of this month and I am busy, as we will be right in the middle of our film."

'Lady Gaga can come and attend Ra.One premiere'

Shah Rukh invited Lady Gaga for the premiere of Ra.One. "I don't know if Lady Gaga will ever get to hear this, but I thank her personally for her graciousness.  She can be a friend, come down, and attend the premiere. They were very kind. They have a different way of working. I think we asked about Lady Gaga a little too late, but inshallah, in my next film "

There were rumours that Ra.One was going to release in 3D, and Shah Rukh confirmed that they were not rumours.

"We are already working on it. Much of the film is done in 3D. Unfortunately, there are a lot of layers in the visual effects and 3-D has to be done post-production. The technology takes a little time. Prime Focus is doing the 3D, they have the best team and have done some really wonderful work all over the world -- Narnia, The Green Lantern, and before that it was Clash of the Titians. We have seen two songs Chammak Challo and Booty, in 3D, and it's looking quite nice."
