Why these stars won't make it to Salman's friend list

You're either Salman Khan's friend or you're not.

The actor does not mince words when it comes to his foes in the industry. Take for example his tiffs with John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor and Subhash Ghai. And the list continues.

Here's a look at the four who won't make it to Salman's house for dinner anytime soon.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Salman helped the filmmaker when he started his career with Khamoshi. Even though Khamoshi failed at the box office, he worked in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Salman also helped out Sanjay Leela Bhansali when he was launching Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya by doing a cameo in the film. He even went out of his way to promote the movie.

So what went wrong?

Apparently, the tiff started over a DVD of Christopher Nolan's Prestige. Salman had given the CD to Bhansali so that they would remake it together. Bhansali, however, went to Hrithik Roshan with the film. Naturally, Salman felt cheated.

He bided his time and got back at Bhansali during an award function where a small girl approached him and asked him to make a film on people like her who are physically challenged. Taking a dig at Bhansali's Guzaarish, Salman replied, "Jaake usko milo. Voh tumhare pe picture bana dega, khud khoob kamayega, lekin tumko kuch nahin dega." (Go and meet him. He will make a movie on you and he will earn a lot from it, but you will not get anything).

It did not end there. When some one from the audience asked his opinion on Guzaarish, this was his reply, "Arre, usme toh makhi udd rahi thi, lekin koi machhar bhi nahi gaya dekhne. Arre, koi kutta bhi nahin gaya." (Even the fly acted better. Not even a fly or a dog would go and watch it).

Salman later denied the whole thing and gave his version of the story. He said, "I was at a charity event when this girl who couldn't hear or speak came up to me and requested that I make a film on people like her."

He said, "Honestly, I've tried to be a part of such films -- Khamoshi, Phir Milenge but they just don't work. So I told her, Sanjay Bhansali makes movies like these. If you want charity, go to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She said she didn't want charity. I simply replied, "You've just saved Sanjay Leela Bhansali some money in that case!"

Salman further added, "I hear Bhansali is angry with me now, so be it! I thought we'd do four to five films together in our lifetime, now I think it'll be only two -- Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam."

Shah Rukh Khan

Salman and Shah Rukh Khan had very good relations.

When Salman barged onto the sets of Chalte Chalte and fought with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh didn't take offence. Instead he replaced Aishwarya with Rani Mukerji so as not to spoil his relationship with Salman.

But that all changed on July 16, 2008. Salman had thrown a birthday party for Katrina Kaif where SRK was one of the guests. The fight between the two broke out when SRK arrived for the party. Salman was already high and very upset with SRK since he had refused to do a cameo in Salman's film Main Aur Mrs Khanna. Salman felt cheated since he had always stood by Shah Rukh (he did a cameo for Om Shanti Om and a special appearance in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai).

So when SRK entered, Salman started irritating SRK by telling him how his TV show Dus Ka Dum was doing better than SRK's Paanchvi Paas. SRK lost his cool and took a dig at Salman's ex-girlfriend, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The two almost enchanged blows before Aamir Khan and SRK's wife Gauri intervened.

Salman was so livid that he later said in one of his interviews when asked whether he missed SRK: "Shah Rukh meri girl friend nahi thi... apni purani girlfriend ko miss nahi karta, Shahrukh ko kya karunga." (Shah Rukh is not my girlfriend. When I don't miss my ex-girlfriends, why should I miss Shahrukh).

Recently SRK admitted in one of his interviews that it was his fault that the friendship with Salman Khan and Farah Khan  was over, and that he misses them badly. Salman, are you listening?

Vivek Oberoi

When Salman and Aishwarya split, Aishwarya and Vivek became an item. Obviously Salman was upset and abused Vivek Oberoi.

Vivek Oberoi retaliated by calling a press conference where he claimed he had received threats from Salman Khan. Salman, he alleged, had threatened to 'kill' him.

Vivek said Salman called him on his cell phone throughout the night of March 29, accusing him of "physical relationships with Aishwarya Rai, Diya Mirza, Rani Mukerji and Somy Ali, whom I met some seven years ago."

Vivek said Salman was drunk, abusive and threatened to come to his house and assault him. Salman called him 41 times that night, he added.

Vivek, who was in Chennai, then decided to return immediately to Mumbai and take matters into his hands by calling the press conference. Salman, he said, was mentally disturbed and needed help.

Vivek's press conference infuriated Salman and he started ignoring Vivek completely. That was until Vivek decided to confront Salman at the 10th Rajiv Gandhi Awards function in 2007. Vivek was on stage, and had just finished performing to Beedi Jalaile with Koena Mitra when on his way out, he stopped before Salman and suddenly, without warning, put his hands together and bowed before him.

Vijay Kalantri, chairman of the reception committee of the awards, seated next to Salman said, "Vivek grabbed his (own) ears and bowed and mouthed 'bhai'. But Salman just shook his head."

Earlier too, the Oberois had gone to meet Salman's mother, Salma Khan at Leelavati hospital, when she was ill. Vivek also allegedly patched up with his co-star Arbaaz (Salman's brother) during the shooting of Shootout At Lokahandwala.

In fact, two years ago, Suresh Oberoi had met Salman on the sets of a film and asked him to let bygones be bygones. But Salman has refused to let the matter go.

Himesh Reshammiya

Himesh Reshammiya started his career by producing television serials. At the same time he was struggling to make his debut as a music composer when Salman helped him out.

Himesh worked on Salman's films Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Bandhan, Hello Brother, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Tere Naam, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? and Kyon Ki.

Difference cropped up in 2006 when Himesh became very popular because of his music and he did not have any time for Salman's film. Things got worse during a concert in Nagpur. Salman stopped working with Himesh and introduced composer duo Sajid Wajid.

Salman never lost any opportunity to make fun of Himesh. He made fun of the singer's cap and nasal voice. He even insulted Himesh on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007.

And even though the two finally patched up on August 29, 2009, the fact still remains that Salman has not worked with Himesh yet.
