Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg 2

We asked you to send in your Dabangg 2 reviews, and we got a fabulous response!

In the third and the final part of the series, we give you some more interesting Rediff reviews. Read on:

Ambar Chatterjee

Riding on an exceptionally thin plot, what Dabangg 2 does well is portray its leading man in all his pomp and gaiety and give the fans what they have come to see.

Clearly Dabangg 2 never ever thinks of making any sense and it never does. It's not plot-driven but situation-driven. We move from one set piece to another paying no heed to believably or sense. The proceedings are so unbelievable and plain insane that after a while, the thinking viewer is sure to give up thinking and start taking the happenings purely on face value.

The action sequences are decent and there is plenty of them to satisfy testosterone-charged junkies. The screenplay and plot leave very little to comment on.

Director Arbaaz Khan is able to extract what the Indian audiences love. He doesn't need to make any sense -- he has people drooling over those muscle flexes of a star in his prime.

The dialogues, though simplistic, are delivered with such conviction by Salman that they gather an inexplicable momentum. The music is insipid.

Dabangg 2 is an out and out Salman show. He features in almost every scene of the movie. He romances, fights, dodges bullets, cries and even does a tango to the famous Hud Hud Dabangg track. He is the beating heart and flowing life of the otherwise plot-less and theme less movie and once again proves that style and mannerisms can cloud the senses of the audience for the duration of screening and keep them glued.

Sonakshi Sinha carries on from where she had left off in the first installment and does justice to whatever little role she has.

Prakash Raj is letdown in a role which just doesn't let him strike.

Arbaaz Khan as Makhi is likable.

Overall, Dabangg 2 is an extension of what we saw in Dabangg. It has all the ingredients which made Dabangg such a money spinner but still falls short of achieving the same level. This one is for the Sallu brigade and for anyone who is ready to leave his brains at home and enjoy mindless masala fare.

'Dabangg 2 will break all records at the box office'

One of the best performances by Salman Khan, I enjoyed the movie. Dabangg 2 will break all the records at the box office.

The film has full chance to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in four-five days and Rs 200 crore in four-five weeks. It will make another Rs 80 crore overseas.

You will enjoy the movie even if you watch it for the third time, just like Salman Khan's other blockbusters Wanted, Dabangg, Ready, Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun?, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and Sanam Bewafa.

A complete entertainer. Salman once again plays the super cop role perfectly. The tuning between him and Vinod Khanna is a treat to watch. It's better than the first, except where music is concerned barring Fevicol Se.

Good direction by Arbaaz khan considering it's his debut movie.
