After much legal hassle over the original script and many speculative theories about its fate, Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra starrer Zanjeer opened in theatres last Friday.

And the aftermath was far from pretty.

The film received less than favourable reviews from critics while the audiences ditched the remake to watch Parineeti Chopra starrer Shudh Desi Romance.

Telugu star Ram Charan too failed to impress in his Hindi debut.

Amitabh Bachchan's original Zanjeer is iconic in many ways, and has many brilliant scenes to be proud of.

The other highlight of the film -- Pran -- is also the reason the film happened.

Amitabh may have given his go-ahead for the remake but the fans of the original actioner were far from pleased.
