When Rajesh Khanna was admitted to the hospital, his estrabged wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle and Rinke Khanna and son-in-law Akshay Kumar rushed to his aid.
The family was with the ailing superstar right till the time when he breathed his last at his Carter Road bungalow Aashirwad on July 18.
One person missing from the picture was Anita Advani, the late legend's friend and live-in partner of eight years.
The niece of the former President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, Khanna had known her since 32 years but they'd grown close in the last stage of his life when she would visit Aashirwad and keep him company.
But the longtime friend was unceremoniously left behind by Khanna's immediate family when it was time to bid him goodbye finally.
There have been reports of a dispute over Aashirwad, which Twinkle and Rinkie Khanna wish to convert into a museum.
