The Kannada version of Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture looks even more erotic than the original.

Kannada actress Nikitha Thukral had been offered the role first but she declined as she felt the remake would not do justice to the Hindi original.

The Kannada film was first titled Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga but Ekta Kapoor, who produced the Hindi film, objected strongly and even went to court. The title was later changed to Silk Sakkath Maga.

The film has been produced by Venkatappa and directed by Trishul.
