PIX: The changing faces of Rakhi Sawant

The starlet's latest appearance, at the launch of her Marathi production venture Jai Jaikar, had us alarmed.

Rakhi Sawant has gone through many ups and downs in her personal as well as professional life.

So has her face.

When she recently turned up at the first look launch of her Marathi production venture Jai Jaikar, she looked horrifically different from her last avatar, which was a few months ago.

Her unusually big hair was teamed with garish eye makeup and mismatched pink lips.

But that is a stylistic glitch that can be easily corrected.

Her scouse brow, and unusually swollen face tell a different story.

The starlet was seen at the launch of a New Year event in November, 2013, sporting straight hair, and a differently shaped pout.

Seriously what was up with that scowl-face there?!

Seen here flashing a temporary fish tattoo, the former item girl lent support to the cast of Gurmeet Singh-directed What The Fish in December 2103.

Hard as it may seem to believe, her face grabbed all the attention this time around too.

However, in 2012, Rakhi (and her face) still showed some signs of normalcy with a somewhat natural-looking nose, eyebrows and lips.

Rakhi, who had appeared on the second season of Koffee With Karan, had admitted that she had gone under the knife to get silicone implants and also had her pout surgically enhanced.

Putting all her surgical procedures to good use, Rakhi graced the cover of GR8 magazine in 2011 wearing this striking (and a size too small corset).

Not long ago before that, she had risen to fame with her music video for the remix of Amitab Bachchan and Rekha's hit song Pardesiya.

Also around the time when her plastic surgeon was yet to have the brainwave for getting work done on her face.

A relatively fresh-faced Rakhi was a hoot in an item number for Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4.

Then there were her early days as an item girl, yet to be introduced to the virtues of plastic surgery.

She first caught the public's attention with her explosive moves in Mohabbat Hai Mirchi song from Zayed Khan and Esha Deol starrer Chura Liya Hai Tumne.

During her appearance on Koffee With Karan, the starlet had said candidly, 'Jo uparwala nahi deta vo doctor de sakta hai.'

While that sounds only fair for the world that sustains and thrives on physical beauty, Rakhi may have taken it a little too far.
