Sanjay Dutt who had been sentenced to five years in jail by the Supreme Court in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case resumed shooting for his upcoming film Policigiri at Kamlistan Studios in suburban on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier on Thursday, the 53-year-old actor addressed the media for the first time since the verdict. Sanjay said that he is not looking to seek pardon and will surrender within the given time. The apex court on March 21 had given the actor four-week time to surrender.

The film's producer T P Aggarwal said. "We are shooting for the climax scene for the film. It is an action sequence. We also need to finish off the dubbing so we will need around 10 days from Sanjay."

A remake of 2003 hit Tamil film Saamy, Policegiri, made on a budget of Rs 15 crores, co-stars Prachi Desai and is directed by south director K S Ravikumar.

Sanjay also completed the dubbing of Apoorva Lakhia's Zanjeer remake on Monday and Tuesday.The actor also received a cheque of Rs 1.5 crores as his dubbing fee.

Sanjay plays the iconic character of Sher Khan in the remake of Zanjeer.

The actor will also have to finish shooting for Kurbaan director Rensil D'silva's  Ungli and Rajkumar Hirani's Peekay before he surrenders himself.
