After pulling a coup with her notorious black dress earlier at the Cannes Film Festival, it came as a bit of a surprise when Mallika Sherawat stepped out in this rather demure coral gown for the Tree Of Life party.

The actress looked pretty from up close too with just the right amount of make up and hair let loose.

It'd be even better if she'd not matched her lipstick with the colour of her dress.

The only thing that stuck out as odd was the oversized clutch that Mallika was carrying. The blingy accessory was a tad over the top for the ocassion.

Coming back to the dress, Mallika simply looked great in it.

Why on earth would anyone pick up a flowy shapeless dress to wear to a Cannes event is beyond us.

Her hairdo made her look like Princess Leia from Star Wars and what's with the bushy eyebrows? Is Sonam trying to go Frida Kahlo on us? She was attending a Chopard party and wore emerald Chopard jewellery

The emerald hue could have been a saviour but the make up was just too over the top for the outfit. The outfit Sonam wore was The Row which she teamed with Ferragamo shoes.

The actress carried a Judith Leiber clutch to go with her dress.
