The city swish set and Bollywood A-lister arrived at industrialist Anil Ambani's South Mumbai residence on
March 12 to attend the lavish bash thrown in the honour of celebrated American filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

Amitabh Bachchan, who moderated a session with the Lincoln director in the presence of a select few Bollywood filmmakers and writers on March 11, arrived with daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to the bash.

The veteran actor tweeted later, "Another evening with Steven Spielberg at dinner..a gift for me from him ... his coffee table book..what he wrote inside CBD ... !!!"

The guest of honour was clearly amused to see all the fuss around him as he, along with wife Kate Capshaw, clicked pictures of the crowd upon arrival.

Dressed in a lime green sari, gajra and kundan jewellery, a stunning Sridevi arrived with producer husband Boney Kapoor to the do.

Krissh 3 actor Hrithik Roshan arrived with wife Sussanne (not in the picture) for the party.

His parents -- Rakesh and Pinky Roshan -- were also among the invited guests.

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan waved to gathered fans and shutterbugs as he made his way to the Ambani residence.
 
Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who attended the party, came back impressed with the whole setting.

He tweeted, "Great evening - wonderful hosts Mrs Tina & Mr Anil Ambani, lovely food, perfect outdoor setting & met my fav director Steven Spielberg.

"Steven Spielberg- having a conversation with him will definitely be a highlight of 2013 for me. Fan toh tha hi ab AC ban gaya," he added cheekily.

Karan Johar, who had to give the directors' discussion a miss to be with his ailing mother, arrived with close friend Kajol and her younger sister Tanisha (not in the picture).

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola actress Anushka Sharma looked striking in a white outfit and fierce bangs.

Anupam Kher, who's now hobnobbing with Hollywood greats, managed to get a picture with Spielberg too, which he later tweeted.

The actor wrote, "Cinema world wide will be indebted to Steven Spielberg for his Genius way of Story telling. Honour to meet him.:)"

Rishi Kapoor, who will be seen in Chashme Buddoor which releases next month, arrived solo for the party. 

Dhobi Ghat director Kiran Rao, who was part of the scintillating coversation moderated by the Big B, showed up to the party too.

Actor Anil Kapoor and noted lyricist Javed Akhtar arrived together for the party.

An immaculately dressed Boman Irani arrived with wife Zenobia (in the back sari).

Telugu star actor Venkatesh, who headed the Telugu Warriors team in the recently concluded Celebrity Cricket League, was at the bash too.

Gauri Khan attended the party with friends while husband Shah Rukh Khan is out of town, shooting for Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express.

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar arrived with hairstylist wife Adhuna Akhtar.

Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai was caught in a rather pensive mood as he made way to the venue.

Actor Suniel Shetty was accompanied by wife Mana and son Ahan.
