PIX: Aishwarya goes for gold on the Cannes red carpet

The actress-mum made much delayed entry on the Cannes red carpet but we can tell you it was well worth it!

After a rather ho-hum couple of years at Cannes, looks like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally found her groove back!

She may have missed her scheduled arrival on the French festival's prestigious red carpet but she certainly hit it out of the park with this one.

A Roberto Cavalli loyalist, the actress-mum was a magnificent vision in a gold gown from the famed designer label as she arrived to the Two Days, One Night (Deux Jours, Une Nuit) premiere.

While she makes a splash in the French Riviera with her smoking hot avatar, Ash is in the news back home as well thanks to her widely talked about comeback film Jazbaa, an action-thriller to be helmed by Sanjay Gupta.

Ash finished off her golden girl look with bright red lips and blown-out hair highlighting soft curls.

This happens to be Aishwarya's 14th consecutive Cannes appearance.

Before making her grand Cannes 2014 debut, the actress was part of a L'Oreal photoshoot with fellow star endorsers Freida Pinto, Eva Longoria and model Natasha Polly.

Ash makes her way to the film screening.

While she was joined by mum Vrinda Rai at one of Cannes' previous editions and a few times by husband Abhishek Bachchan, Ash -- who flew to the French countryside with daughter Aaradhya, was by herself this time.
