Oscar Fashion: Hot or not?

We were curious to see what Hollywood's most stunning actresses stars chose to wear to the 82nd Annual Academy Awards night in Los Angeles on Sunday night. And they didn't disappoint us.

Strapless numbers dominated the red carpet. But there were some other designs -- like this daring number with a plunging neckline worn by Hilary Swank -- that caught our attention as well.

The willowy actress brought a touch of old Hollywood glamour to the proceedings with her gold-dusted Oscar de la Renta gown and perfectly coiffed hair.

The Best Actress winner for her role in the The Blind Side looks splendid in a shimmering gold Marchesa gown.

The 17-year-old singer resembles a princess in her bustier-top Jenny Packham gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. She chose a soft bun to go with the look.

If in doubt, go with Versace. American actress Elizabeth Banks did just that with this sweeping gray Versace gown accessorized with a Ferragamo clutch and a sparkling Fred Leighton diamonds.

The Dear John star looks like royalty in this pale mint green Armani Priv gown encrusted with Swarovski crystals.

Don't know about the ruffles but we do love the burgundy colour of Vera's Marchesa gown. 

Actress Deborah Ann Woll, from the television show True Blood, cuts a daring figure in this strapless number.
