Looking at Bollywood's top tax payers

Shah Rukh Khan has replaced Akshay Kumar as the number one tax payer for the second quarter of financial year 2011 by paying up Rs 5 crore to the IT department as against the Rs 3.5 crore paid in the same quarter last year.

Akshay Kumar came a close second by paying Rs 4.5 crore.

At third place is Aamir Khan who paid Rs 4 crore as tax versus Rs 3.5 crore paid in the same quarter last year.

Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor

Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were tied at fourth spot with each paying Rs 2.5.

On the heels of the two actors is Salman Khan who paid only Rs 2 crore compared to the Rs 2.5 crore in the same quarter last year.

Ending the male reign is hit-maker Katrina Kaif who paid Rs 1.3 crore in the second quarter compared to Rs 1 crore which she paid in the first.

Last year Kareena Kapoor paid Rs 80 lakh. This year she paid Rs 20,0000 to take the total to Rs 1 crore.

The lakh brigade

Hrithik Roshan, Arbaaz Khan, directors Sanjay Leela Bansali and Vishal Bharadwaj paid in lakhs.

While Hrithik paid Rs 50 lakh, Arbaaz spent Rs 10 lakh. As for Sanjay Leela Bansali, he paid Rs 50 lakh and Bharadwaj Rs 25 lakh.
