Lara Dutta is on a roll.

The actress has back-to-back releases lined up this October. First up, is David Dhawan's comedy Do Knot Disturb where she will be seen romancing three men -- Govinda, Ritesh Deshmukh and Sohail Khan. The film also stars Sushmita Sen.

Later in the month -- October 16 -- her other film, the highly anticpated Blue with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif and Zayed Khan, is releasing.

Lara talks to Patcy N about her forthcoming films, and her love for comedy.

Do Knot Disturb has a big star cast. What is your role in it?

Every time I get a call from David Dhawan, I get extremely excited because you are sure to be offered a role which every other actress would give an arm and a leg for

I have worked with him before [in Partner] and am grateful that he is one director who realises that women have the potential to do comedy.

I am getting an opportunity to hold my own with co-stars like Govinda and Ritesh. I am not just a prop or a pretty face. I play Dolly in the film. The promos show Govinda singing 'Dolly Dolly Dolly' in the promos which should make it clear that there is plenty for me to to in this film.

'Ritesh is the next Govinda in making'

How was it working with Ritesh?

I have worked with Ritesh before [in Bardaasht and Masti]. I have worked with David Dhawan and Govinda too, so that leaves only Sushmita. Overall, it was fantastic working on this film. I am always happy working with David.

So how would you rate Ritesh?

I would say that Ritesh is the next Govinda in making. There is only one Govinda but I think someday Ritesh will give Govinda a run for his money.

'Sushmita is an incredible person to work with'

How was it working with Sushmita?

This is the first time that two Miss Universe will be working together in one film. That makes it very special though it's reported that we did not get along.

Sushmita is an incredible person to work with. She brings a lot to the role that she is playing. I wish we had more scenes together in the film.

'I don't question my director'

There is a dialogue in the film that says, 'decide whether you want a bungalow or flat'. The bungalow and flat in this case is referred to women. Do you agree with the statement?

I am an actor when I am doing a film. I am only doing the character the way the director sees it. He has a reason for giving me those lines which you will see in the context of the whole film. I don't question my director.

But if there is something that I genuinely feel that I won't be able to do, then I will talk to him. Otherwise he is the captain of the ship. He knows his film.

'Ritesh is funnier'

You have worked with both Govinda and Ritesh. Who is funnier?

Both Ritesh and I are very junior so we can't compare ourselves to Govinda. If I have to say who is funnier then I will have to say Ritesh. His dialogues are funnier.

We're seeing you mostly do comedies like No Entry, Partner or Do Knot Disturb...

Comedy is my favourite genre. It is my forte and I perform best in this genre. I should do other kinds of films too but mostly I would love doing comedies and I will keep doing them.
