Kareena Kapoor may be Bollywood's current numero uno but according to the Hindustan Times' Sunday supplement HT Brunch article, "she'd have to act in eight films to earn as much as Aamir Khan earns from one film."

While we were still coming to terms with the huge remuneration fees actresses command, the earnings of the top actors are even more shocking, according to HT Brunch.

Aamir Khan
Aamir must be enjoying being a producer. All the films that he's produced so far, barring Dhobi Ghat, turned out to be commercial hits and also generated positive reviews.
The actor's asking price is a mind-numbing Rs 40 crore, which includes share in profits at times. His endorsement fees are Rs 4 crores per day.
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan comes second, with Rs 20-25 crore for film projects, plus a share in the profits.
The King Khan earns Rs. 2-3 crores per day from endorsement deals.
Salman Khan
Salman Khan's incredible run at the box office has ensured that he remains in the top three club.
The Bodyguard actor charges Rs. 23-27 crore per film and earns Rs. 1.5 crore per day from ad deals.
Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar may have hit a rough patch, what with several of his films failing at the box office but the actor is still one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood.
The Housefull 2 actor makes Rs 18-22 crore per film and takes home Rs 1.5-2 crore per day for his endorsements.

He makes Rs 15-20 crore per film and Rs 1.25-1.5 crore per day for his endorsements.
Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn, who's been part of some big money churners like Singham and the Golmaal franchise in the recent past, has moved up the remuneration ladder.
The actor charges Rs 10-16 crore per film and Rs 1-1.5 crore per day for his ads.
Ranbir Kapoor
The hottest young star right now, Ranbir Kapoor takes home Rs 8-10 crore per film and gets an equally cool Rs 1.5-2 crore per day for his endorsements.
Saif Ali Khan
Actor/producer Saif Ali Khan, whose Agent Vinod released recently to lukewarm response, earns Rs 7-10 crore per film and gets Rs 0.65-0.75 crore per day for his advertisements.
Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor, who has not had a hit in quite a while now, earns as much as Rs 7-8 crore per film.
The actor gets Rs 1 crore per day for his ads.
John Abraham
The beefy John Abraham, who's turned producer with Vicky Donor, charges Rs 5-7 crore per film.

Imran Khan has an asking price of Rs 5-7 crore, thanks to hit films like Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Delhi Belly.
He also pockets Rs 1-1.25 crore per day for his adverts.
Sanjay Dutt
Sanjay Dutt takes home Rs 5-7 crore per film and Rs 0.4-0.5 crore per day from ads.
Amitabh Bachchan
Once the highest paid actor in Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has made room for younger actors.
He earns Rs 4-6 crore per film and Rs 1-1.5 crore per day from ads.
